SIBF will again host the highly-rated Washington Briefing, May 8-10, 2024. Join us as we discuss the latest developments in Washington on domestic and international policy issues and hear perspectives from all sides of the political spectrum. The Washington Briefing has a tradition and established track record for introducing SIBF members to unique venues and exclusive programs and speakers that go far beyond the typical business group Washington fly-in. In addition, springtime is one of the most beautiful time of year in our nation’s capital.
Agenda Outline
- Consider arriving early to take advantage of DC’s many cultural options and historic sites. Tuesday evening May 7, we will gather for happy hour cocktails in the hotel for those who arrive early.
- The opening general session will take place Wednesday afternoon, May 8 at 3:00pm followed by dinner at the hotel.
- Thursday will include presentations and discussions with key experts on topics of current debate and national importance. Participants will gain insights into the agenda of the current administration. Thursday evening, we will have a closing reception with hors d’oeuvres. SIBFers may wish to arrange small group dinners in one of DC’s many excellent restaurants following the event.
- Attendees are free to depart anytime Friday, May 10.

Cancellation Policy
Because of SIBF financial commitments, $250 per person is non-refundable after December 8, 2023. For cancellations after March 1, 2024, the remaining balance is non-refundable under any circumstances (i.e., weather related, medical, business conflicts, family emergency, etc.). Members desiring protection against potential emergencies should consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance.
Liability Waiver
I agree and acknowledge that I am undertaking participation in an SIBF Event and activities as my own free and intentional act, and I am fully aware that possible physical injury might occur to me as a result of my participation in these events. I give this acknowledgment freely and knowingly and, as a result, I am able to participate in the SIBF events, and do hereby assume responsibility for my own well-being.
