Professional Bio
Sue Walden is an accomplished government relations executive with more than three decades of public service and business leadership in government affairs. She is the Founder and President of Walden Associates, LLC, a government relations health care consulting firm. She currently serves as Senior Advisor to HillStaffer, a bipartisan Washington, DC government relations and public affairs firm, where she leads their health care team.
Sue consults with corporate and nonprofit executives and develops strategic initiatives to advance their legislative, regulatory, public relations, and communications objectives.
Sue’s career in government included serving as committee counsel and advising U.S. Senators on issues and legislation affecting health policy and programs. As a corporate executive, she directed government relations for the Fortune 100 global health care company Johnson & Johnson for 11 years, and led numerous successful strategic initiatives for its pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. She also served as assistant general counsel for a national trade association representing manufacturers of consumer health care products where she led successful lobbying efforts for the association throughout the U.S.
Sue received her B.A. from the University of Georgia and her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law. She is a member of the District of Columbia and Virginia Bars.
