Professional Bio
Scott is an original principal of Lighthouse Investment Partners and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He is actively engaged with the firm’s global client base, particularly with institutional relationships across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Scott is also very involved with Navigator Global Investments, Lighthouse’s public holding company (ASX: NGI). In particular, he is focused on supporting the ten existing portfolio investments, sourcing acquisition opportunities, and creating synergies.
Scott sits on the Board of Directors and Investment Committee for Longreach Alternatives Ltd., an Australian-based multi-boutique investment firm. He also sits on the Board of Directors and Global Advisory Board for GROW Investment Group, a Chinese-based asset manager. Last, he is part owner of and sits on the Advisory Committee for Grace3 Technologies, a mission-based MBE. Prior to joining Lighthouse, he worked in business development with a publicly-traded technology company where he was responsible for business strategy, including negotiating joint venture relationships with industry leaders and evaluating equity investment opportunities. Previously, Scott served as a corporate attorney specializing in corporate and banking transactions with the law firm of Mays & Valentine, LLP. He began his career at the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand, LLP. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the College of William & Mary, where he earned All-American honors as a member of the school’s football team. He earned his Juris Doctor from Washington & Lee University School of Law. He is also a former Certified Public Accountant. Scott served on the Board of Trustees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Palm Beach Area Chapter for nine years. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the William & Mary Foundation, where he sits on both the Investments and Athletics committees.
