Professional Bio
Leonardo Gonzalez Lopez is a global business and corporate finance specialist. He serves as chief financial officer of International Hospital Corporation (IHC), a hospital system with headquarters in Frisco, Texas and owner/operator of private hospitals in Latin America. He is a member of the senior leadership team, and directs the corporation’s international finance practice. His service with the company started in 2007 as director of finance at Hospital CIMA Hermosillo in Mexico, and in 2009 he transitioned into a regional finance role at IHC’s corporate office for Mexican operations, eventually progressing through other roles until last year when he was appointed CFO. Prior to joining IHC, Mr. Gonzalez served with world leading institutions such as KPMG and Citigroup in the financial services industry, as well as with private equity owned companies in the manufacturing industry, doing business across North and Latin America and Europe. His responsibilities have included leadership roles in international management, strategy development, transactions structuring and execution, financial management, investment advisory, global accounting, and operations turnaround, among others. Mr. Gonzalez holds an MBA in international management and global finance from Thunderbird, The School of Global Management, and a BS in accounting and finance from “Tecnologico de Monterrey” (ITESM) in Mexico. He participates in various civic and charitable organizations, and is fluent in Spanish and English, and proficient in Bulgarian.
